Silvana + Simon Wedding

On a decadent late summer day in August 2019, Silvana and Simon joined together in holy matrimony. As dusk settled in and the sun set, black and white decorations blended in with the magic of nature--soft candle light flickered and reflected over the swimming pool and illuminated the lush garden florals.

Before the ceremony, guests gathered on the large patio over sparkling wine, hors d’ouvres, and sounds spun by DJ Arbi. All went silent when an ethereal Silvana emerged in her beautifully crafted ivory dress. During her walk to the alter, a singer serenaded the moment with a rendition of Erez Shel Shoshanim.

After the ceremony, lit by twilight and a sea of candles, the wedding party began the glass breaking ceremony--a lively tradition that brings good luck and represented a bridge between traditions of the past and the modern elegance of the wedding.

Next, guests joined together for the reception. Sat under elegant chandeliers and fragrant floral arrangements, guests enjoyed an evening filled with joyful conversations and love all around. Black-suited bartenders stood attentively at the white lacquered bar, mixing Aubar LA signature cocktails, including fresh Moscow Mule with watermelon, Paloma with rosemary and the classic Old Fashioned.

Silvana and Simon soon emerged and took their romantic first dance. Following this, servers set the table family-style with several courses of refined Italian cuisine from Marino Restaurant. Clad in all black, waiters served up dishes including fresh heirloom caprese and porcini risotto. As dinner continued, the much heartier main courses of freshly grilled salmon and branzino, asparagus and roasted fingerling potatoes rolled out the kitchen. Sommeliers stood by with fine red and white wines, such as Rosso Del Camul "Barrique" Cabernet Sauvignon, Terrazze Oltrepo Pavese Pinot Nero, Camara Oltrepo Pavese Chardonnay, San Michele Pinot Grigio, and Conte Robert Pitti Ferrandi Franciacorta Brut. Then, finally, it was time to cut the cake--a magnificent three-tier vanilla number adorned with flowers and baked by the prestigious Rafi’s Pastry.

As the night continued, guests danced under the summer moon and nibbled stylish mini sweets from several desserts pedestals studded with French macarons, mousse shooters, cannolis, fruit tartlets, and airy cream puffs. With all aglow under the stars, the newlyweds beaming, and guests swooning and swaying under the stars, it was truly an unforgettable night.
